Organizers * Gianluigi Condorelli (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Italy) Official Web Site (all day)
Start: 8:00 am
Start: 10/15/2007 - 08:00
End: 10/16/2007 - 17:00
Event Location: This year’s meeting will be focused on the application of biomarkers and imaging to clinical trials. The innovative program structure will feature case studies to demonstrate the progression of biomarkers from discovery in an academic setting, to the implementation within pharma. Steps along the way will illustrate the discovery of a biomarker, the clinical validation of a biomarker assay, and ultimately the correlation with clinical outcome. Regulatory and reimbursement issues will be addressed as they affect execution. A series of case histories of biomarkers will be covered, with a speaker for each phase of development, and a panelist commentary at the end. Contact Information 781-972-5464 (Phone) | ||

Event Location: The time and cost of conducting clinical trials is long and expensive. The goal of drug development is to quickly and safely determine the safety and efficacy of NCEs/biologics and the target population that will benefit most from the new therapy. Within the past few years many new approaches have been developed to address this goal, e.g., adaptive trial design, Bayesian analysis, and the use of biomarkers. This conference will focus on the practical application of Adaptive Clinical Trial Designs into clinical development programs, and specifically clinical protocols. About the Conference More than 230 people from Canada, the United States and Europe attended Genome Canada’s first International Conference in Quebec City in 2006, 2020 Vision: Variation and Function in the Genome. The conference featured internationally renowned speakers on a wide range of topics related to the future of genomics and proteomics research. Buoyed by the success of last year's conference, Genome Canada is planning the 2007 Conference, 2020 Vision: Adaptation to Environmental Change. Join us for three days of plenaries and sessions featuring a unique mix of internationally recognized speakers who will focus on the future of genomics research and its impact on society over the next decade and beyond.
